How does this work? Sprigley uses really ‘geeky stuff’ like algorithmic tag matching, a rules engine running Web 2.0 standards and a custom ontology tool. Sprigley uses this ‘stuff’ to learn about you and to personalize your experience and customize the resources you need to accomplish your own goals.

Why? Because being healthy isn’t as difficult as we’ve been made to believe. A lot of the things your mother told you are true. Try and make good choices about food. Try and move a bit during the day. Get a good night’s sleep. Laugh with a friend. Do something for someone else.

Collected data and personal information

• Privacy wall: Your Sprigley data is divided into two categories: public and private. Public data is associated with your public community persona (i.e., your public user name and user photo, if you have provided one) and consists of community discussions and posts. Your private data consists of your conversation, resources, and Personal Health Record.
• Data disclosed in the Sprigley site will no longer be protected by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (“HIPAA”).
• Sprigley is predicated on users contributing aggregate non-personally identifiable health and well-being data.
• Sprigley uses cookies to make the site easier to use. We do not share our cookies with any other site, nor do we use cookies to track your behavior on other sites.

Uses

• We may use personal information to provide the services you’ve requested, including services that display customized content.
• We use aggregate and non-personally identifiable data to provide the broader Sprigley community with information to make better decisions and get engaged in their own health.
• We may share aggregate, non-personally identifiable data with third parties outside of Sprigley.

Advertisements. As consideration for using the Service, you agree and understand that Sprigley may display ads and other information adjacent to and related to the content on the Sprigley site. Sprigley serves relevant ads using an automated process that enables Sprigley to effectively target changing content.

Indemnification. You agree to hold harmless and indemnify Sprigley, and its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from and against any third party claim arising from or in any way related to your use of the Service, including any liability or expense arising from all claims, losses, damages (actual and consequential), suits, judgments, litigation costs and attorneys' fees, of every kind and nature. In such a case, Sprigley will provide you with written notice of such claim, suit or action.
